Spam indicator
No videos but have over 10 subscribers
What it checks
Whether a channel with no videos has subscribers anyway.
The exact rule
- It fires (100%) when the channel has 0 public videos and more than 10 subscribers.
- Otherwise it reads 0%.
Why it can point to spam
Subscribers usually follow videos. A channel with subscribers and nothing to watch may have bought them, or may have been emptied so it can be renamed, sold or reused.
When it fires on a legitimate channel
A channel can be empty for a while during a rebrand, after its videos were made private, or before a known person's or brand's first upload, when fans subscribe ahead.
How to change it
If you run the channel, publishing a public video clears it. Check the channel again and click Run again so the checker reads it fresh from YouTube.
