Terms of Use

The site uses YouTube API Services. By using the site, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. How Google handles data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

You paste a YouTube channel ID, @handle or channel URL. The site checks the channel's public data for signals common on spam channels, such as burst uploads, spammy video titles or an empty about page, and weighs them into a spam score, listing each signal behind it. Checking a channel is free and needs no account.

• A score is an automated estimate that this site works out from public YouTube data. It does not come from YouTube and it is not YouTube's decision.
• A high score marks a channel worth a closer look. It is not a finding that the channel is spam or that its owner did anything wrong.
• Scores can be wrong, the way they are worked out can change, and a result reflects the channel's data when it was last read from YouTube.

Don't use a score as the sole reason to reject, report or refuse to work with a creator, and don't present it as a fact about a channel or its owner.

You agree not to:

• check channels automatically or in bulk, for example with scripts, bots or scrapers, or send requests in a volume that burdens the site or uses up its YouTube API quota
• get around the site's rate limits or security, including Cloudflare's bot checks
• use results to harass, threaten or abuse anyone
• use the site in a way that breaks the law or the YouTube Terms of Service

We may block access from anyone who breaks these rules.

Channel names, images and video details on the site come from YouTube and belong to their owners. The site shows them to identify the channel that was checked. A channel's owner can ask for its data to be removed: see removal requests.

Creators can sign in with their heart.id account to see private views of their own channels. heart.id is also run by Freedom! Family Limited. Your heart.id account, its plans, trials and billing are covered by the heart.id terms, not these. These terms still apply to everything you do on spam.h.ki, signed in or not.

Aegis, also run by Freedom! Family Limited, offers a free channel check on aegis.h.ki that uses this site to read a channel's public details from YouTube.

• Those reads are part of the site, so these terms apply to them, including the YouTube Terms of Service and Acceptable use. In particular, use the check only through Aegis's page, one channel at a time, and don't call the address it uses from scripts or in bulk.
• The check shows public YouTube data as YouTube gives it. It gives no spam score, and it says nothing about whether anyone has reuploaded a channel's videos or what they could earn.
• What Aegis offers on its own pages, including applying to Aegis, is covered by Aegis's own terms on aegis.h.ki.

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will always be available or free of errors, or that its scores are accurate, complete or fit for any particular purpose. The site depends on services run by others, including YouTube, Google and Cloudflare, and we are not responsible for them.

To the extent the law allows, Freedom! Family Limited is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost earnings, revenue, business or data, that comes from using the site or from relying on a score, including decisions you make about a channel or its owner. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

We may change these terms, and the site. When we change the terms, we publish the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top, and for a material change we also show a notice on the site before it takes effect. If you use the site after the change takes effect, the new terms apply to you.

These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, and the courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
